With refreshing album covers (always in Lime green), they enchanted the still virgin dancefloors of the western world. When the synthpop group was founded in Montreal, the couple Denis & Denyse LePage probably didn't realize that the origin of the high-energy sound (Hi-NRG) would one day go back to them. Of course there was Moroder and Donna Summer, but if you look back today, Lime's sound was at least as timeless, if not even more influential. A deep voice rich in overtones and a “sugar-coated” high voice can still lead to successful chart positions today. Incidentally, the couple are divorced and Denis LePage is trying his hand as a transsexual act under the pseudonym Nini Nobless on lime-tune.com
