Telekinesis - Please Ask for Help

American indie rockers Telekinesis are releasing their second studio album “12 Desperate Straight Lines”. Strictly speaking, Telekinesis is “only” a one-man band consisting of multi-instrumentalist Lerner, who is joined by a quartet of musicians for live performances.

The result of the Seattle band around mastermind Michael Benjamin Lerner can be heard from February 11th. The album combines catchy power-pop melodies with introspective lyrics that often deal with break-ups and heartache. Despite the melancholy themes, the music remains energetic and melodic. Of particular note are tracks like “Car Crash”, “Please Ask for Help” and “You Turn Clear in the Sun”, which showcase Lerner's ability to turn personal experiences into captivating songs.
