Cosmic Gal - SPACE FEVER / MOONDREAM

The end of the 70s was the time of spacesuits. Bands like Rockets and Kraftwerk had not yet arrived in the mainstream. Skylines also left their mark on this period, but without getting much of the fame and glory of the time.

We don't want to forget this band and their unrecognized masterpieces of the synthesizer post-era and point the dusty ears to this pearl!!! “Space Fever” and ‘Moon Dream’ are two outstanding tracks by the disco formation Cosmic Gal, who released their only album Keep On Moving in 1979. The group combined electronic sounds with catchy melodies and danceable rhythms, which is particularly evident in these two tracks. “Space Fever” captivates with futuristic synthesizers and a driving beat, while ‘Moon Dream’ creates a dreamy, almost spherical atmosphere.Although Cosmic Gal was only active for a short time, they left a lasting impression on the disco scene with their unique style. Today, their songs are considered cult classics and are appreciated by music lovers worldwide.

Tron - "Derezzed" by Daft Punk

No wonder Daft Punkt had contributed to the movie! “Derezzed” is one of the standout tracks from the soundtrack to the movie Tron: Legacy (2010), produced by legendary French electro duo Daft Punk.

The song is an energetic, electronic ride that perfectly matches the digital aesthetics of the Tron world. With its cutting synths and pulsating beats, “Derezzed” became a fan favorite and is a poster child for modern film music. The entire Tron: Legacy soundtrack was composed by Daft Punk and is a unique blend of orchestral elements and electronic music - a first for the duo.

HARMONIC 313 - Battlestar feat. Phat Kat and Elzhi

Mark Pritchard is one of the busiest electronic music producers in the British Isles. His first tracks date back to 1991.

Pritchard regularly adopts new pseudonyms for his releases, the best known of which in the 90s were Global Communication, Link or Jedi Knights. Since 2002, Pritchard has been releasing as Harmonic 313 on the Warp label again, where he also attracted attention with his most recent project Africa Hitech. After this release, Harmonic 313 released a few more EPs, including Lion (2012). Since then, however, the project has been on ice. Mark Pritchard has since dedicated himself to other musical projects, such as the aforementioned Africa HiTech.

Positive vibes - dance, dance, dance! "Leisure Cruise" is not an easy name for non-Anglo-Americans to remember and pronounce, and this could be one of the reasons why the New York band hasn't really taken off yet.

Dave Hodge and Leah Siegel do their job extremely well! Maybe it's also because of their other projects Broken-Social-Scene and Firehorse that the big breakthrough hasn't happened yet. The video with the weird hippie dancer in Bollywood look is great and the song encourages you to do the same as the protagonist: put on headphones and dance through the streets!
