None of them
This succeeds quite well and so dominates on the current album "one of them" in addition to electronica, guitars, voices and drums, again and again a skillful bass playing! In general, it comes across quite "un-Zürcherisch" and could well have sprung from a British urban environment - but it is not!
LuLuRouge
Deep dreamy soundscapes collide with the auditory, whereupon in our brain immediately resonance to far away worlds is built up again. The two Danes have a certain kinship to Trentemøller, so it is not surprising that T.O.M. supports him at live performances. Bass music at its best!
Wolfman
Angelo Repetto and Katerina Stoykova recorded a fascinating album as Wolfman with their debut “Unified”, which treads the golden mean between sequencer and dream pop. A path that won an award in the pop category at last year's M4Music demo tape clinic - and one that never ceases to surprise. Music made in Switzerland - Quality first! Their blues is electronic, the pop harmonies dreamy, the beats heavy and the voices shady and seductive: Angelo Repetto and Katerina Stoykova recorded a fascinating album as Wolfman with their debut “Unified”, which treads the golden middle path between sequencer and dream pop. A path that won an award in the pop category at last year's M4Music demo tape clinic - and that never ceases to surprise.
Nadine Carina - little House
The sound seems hypnotic, but never detached. Her voice lies somewhere between Emiliana Torrini and Regina Spektor - which can be heard on her debut "Magic Box". You can hear it: Ticino is definitely the warmest place in Switzerland!
Velvet Condom - Lippenstift
When bands such as Trisomie 21, KaS Product and Norma Loy enjoyed respectable success in France, the term cold wave became a local phenomenon, as in other European countries the French version of wave was simply subordinated to existing styles. The band Velvet Condom revives memories of this musical style, which fits the long-forgotten 80s atmosphere of neon tubes, fog and twitching strobe lights like no other. Founded in 2005 by Nicolas Isner and Oberst Panizza in Strasbourg, they mainly release their music in German, as singer Nico has German roots, which prompted the band to move to Berlin in 2008. The somewhat strange-sounding name Velvel Condom evokes memories of a time when tower hairstyles and bird's nests dominated the dance floors of ambitious clubs.
